Those who have dogs will be able to feed them cantaloupe but only in limited amounts. By feeding your dog too much of this food they can experience problems with upset stomach as well as gas, cramps, and diarrhea. This is because of all the water that is in cantaloupe and the same is true for people. Although cantaloupe is not considered to be a “poisonous†food like some others for dogs, it is not good to feed it to them in excess.
Although not all dogs react the same exact way to cantaloupe and other foods, it is not worth the risk of giving them too much. At most you will want to limit portion of cantaloupe to just a small slice or two.
