Can Grapes Be Grown From Seed?

Grapes are most definitely grown from seeds and it is important for those who are thinking about cultivating them on their own to keep a few things in mind and follow the necessary instructions in order to get the best results. It will first be necessary to purchase the grape seeds or collect seeds from the grapes which you buy at the store.

You should be able to find grape seeds in most nurseries as well as websites online that sell fruit seeds. It will then be necessary to plant the seeds in a fairly small container or pot under the top layer of soil which you will put in.

After you have done that you will need to put the pot inside a plastic bag. Keep in mind that the seeds can also be placed inside the bag itself, though you will need to transplant them to a pot later on down the line.

Make sure to keep the grape seeds refrigerated for a period of anywhere between 30 to 90 days. In order to end the dormancy of your grape seeds, you will need to make sure that they are kept at a temperature that falls below 40 degrees. After you take the seeds out from the refrigerator you will need to give them a warming period inside your house. Then you will need to remove the seeds from the bag you have put them in 30 days after they have started to warm up. Then it will be necessary to transplant all of the seedlings into their own pots once they have reached a height of around 8cm.
