Is Butter High In Sodium?

In one tablespoon of regular butter there is about 2 mg of sodium. This can be juxtaposed with salted butter which contains a whopping 82 mg of sodium for every single tablespoon. There is no doubt that people like their butter, but it’s not all that good for you. The truth is that butter is high in saturated fat, even though it has no trans fats or carbohydrates.

In one stick of butter, there is 12 mg of sodium but with salted butter there is a total of 651 mg of sodium, which is exactly why you should always try to avoid salted butter whenever possible.
