Different types of fruits and vegetables go in and out of season during different parts of the year and whether you’re planning on growing these foods, or simply eating them, it’s important for you to understand the seasonality of various fruits and vegetables.
So what about pears? When are pears in season?
Well, it actually depends entirely on which type of pear you are talking about!
Certain varieties of pear, such as Bartletts, come in season during mid-to-late summer, and many others follow suit during the fall months. There are also some varieties (such as Anjou) which aren’t really in season until we’re well into the cold winter months.
