Should Blackberries Be Refrigerated?

The average shelf life of blackberries is fairly short and although putting them in a refrigerator can help to extend their life, it will only do so for up to around a week before they start to go bad and are no longer edible.

Those who enjoy eating these berries will want to keep in mind that they are best served at room temperature. You will want to consider though that when they are stored at room temperature, their shelf life decreases significant by up to two or three days.

Blackberries are best stored in a sealed container in plastic wrap inside a refrigerator for not longer than one week.
