Is Spinach Fattening?

Spinach similar to many other vegetables has very little fat in it so if you are on a diet you can feel free to eat as much of it as you want every day. This particular vegetable can become fattening if you add something like butter or various oils to it though. Often times people use spinach in certain fattening dishes to give it a little bit of an extra kick but by doing so they fail to fully take advantage of its nutritional value. In spinach there are very few carbohydrates and sugar.

There is however lots of vitamin C, vitamin K, calcium, iron, and protein in spinach which is why it is so healthy to eat. Spinach has also been known to help in the treatment of certain conditions which have to do with inflammation such as gout. Those who have problems with gout or similar issues will want to consider eating more spinach on a daily basis. The same goes for people who are on a diet and are trying to lose as much weight as possible.
