Is Salmon An Amphibian?

The salmon is considered to be a fish and comes from the Salmonidae family. There are two other types of fish which are in the same family and they are referred to as “trout”. One of the key differences between salmon and trout is that while salmon migrate, trout do not and they are considered to be “resident”.

Salmon are usually anadromous and are born in fresh water, eventually migrating to the ocean where they live until they are ready to spawn at which time they return to the same body of fresh water where they were born. These fish use their olfactory sense to guide them back to their original birthplace for spawning.
