Is Pork Leaner Than Beef?

A vast majority of pork cuts are around 16% leaner than the leanest cuts of beef, though it does vary depending on how the pork/beef was prepared.

It is commonly known that beef is fairly high saturated fat and most fat in beef is called “mono-unsaturated”, which can actually be a good thing. This type of fat has been known to decrease cholesterol levels, which is something that more and more people are trying to do.

As a whole though, pork is considered to be much leaner than that of beef, so those who are considered about their diet will want to keep this in mind.
