Is Pork Bad For Gout?

Those who are suffering from gout should avoid pork as much as possible, mostly because of its high acidic content.

Pork along with many other meats have been known to aggravate this condition, so those who are experiencing problems with it should keep their consumption of pork to a bare minimum, but preferably stay away from it altogether. The high uric acid content of pork means that it is something that people who have gout should stay as far away from as possible.

Other meats which are bad for people with gout to eat include sausage and beef; all of these foods have been known to aggravate this condition.

  1. This is simply not true. It is not pork that is bad for gout, its in internal meats from pork that are bad. Sausage and things like that. You can have pork chops and bacon and ham, but in moderation and plan on eating something alkaline to off set it. Like Celery.

  2. Processed bacon is bad with all the preservatives in it. Try all natural bacon without sodium nitrates in it. That should help avoid a flare up.

  3. I have discovered that if 100 people get gout, there’s about 80 things trigger it… pick your poison
