Is Lobster High In Cholesterol?

In a single 3 oz. serving of lobster there is about 60mg of cholesterol. Since the total recommended daily amount of cholesterol is 300mg, it is acceptable for those who are trying to control and watch their cholesterol level to eat this particular type of seafood once in a while.

Just one serving of lobster contributes to around 20 percent of this recommended daily amount, so you should be aware of that when you are trying to figure out which foods you should be eating and which you should not. Lobster is an important part of a balanced diet though, mostly because of the fact that it is a lean protein-rich food which you can benefit from in a number of ways.
