Is Lobster A Roach?

Lobsters are sometimes referred to as “the cockroach of the sea” and this crustacean does have a distant relation to roaches as we know them today. Cockroaches cme from the Hexapoda class while lobsters come from the Crustacea class. These crustaceans are sometimes called the cockroaches of the sea because of their apparently indiscriminate eating of bottom-dwelling organisms.

Lobsters play a vital role in the ecosystem, cleaning up much of the dead plants and ones that are in the process of dying as well. Without lobsters the ocean would be a very different place, especially consider how much they eat on a regular basis.
