Is Garlic Acidic Or Alkaline?

Garlic is considered to be an alkaline food because of where it ranks on the pH scale. Some of the other foods that are considered to be alkaline include apples, coconut, carrots, grapes, lima beans, lemons, celery, kelp, melons, olives, figs, and much more. Depending on where a certain food falls on the pH scale, it may be very acidic or alkaline.

Those who have problems with acid reflux for example will want to try to avoid acidic foods as much as possible because of the fact that they tend to worsen this condition considerably. Alkaline foods like garlic however are okay for heartburn sufferers to eat because of the fact that they will not aggravate this problem at all.
