There are a lot of different food myths when it comes to acne and one of them includes bananas.
A lot of people seem to be under the impression that bananas can cause acne. Part of why this myth probably started in the first place is because bananas are part of what is referred to as â€œinflammatory foodsâ€ which do include these fruits.
The fact is that by consuming bananas, you will not get any acne you didn’t have before. This is to say that bananas by themselves do not cause inflammation, but certain scientific research leads us to believe that they can in some way contribute to inflammation of the skin for those who already have this problem.
