Can Watermelon Be Composted?

The rind of a watermelon can in fact be used for compost, along with banana peels, orange peels, and much more.

When this recycled natural compost material is used, it eventually decomposes into a very fertile and rich soil which can be used to help grow plants, flowers, and even trees. It is an extremely eco-friendly way to go about helping things grow in your garden and an increasing number of people are starting to do it because of this.

It is important that if you are going to compost watermelon rind that you spread it around in your garden liberally.
