There are a number of red foods which can cause stool to turn a red color if you eat enough of them, such as raspberries, tomato soup, strawberries, and even red beets. Sometimes people worry when they see a red color in their stool because they assume it is blood, when in reality that is not always the case.
Sometimes if you eat enough of a certain food, the result is stool with a reddish color. Although you may experience this from time to time if you eat a lot of these foods, it does not mean anything bad will happen or that there is something wrong with your gastrointestinal tract.
