You will find that it is possible to roast your pecans in the microwave, though it may adversely affect the taste and/or texture. It is highly recommended that if you want to roast your pecans that you do so in the oven. You will need a few things before you start, such as 1 cup of pecan halves, 1 tablespoon of margarine, ¼ cup of granulated sugar, ½ teaspoon of ground cinnamon, and ¼ teaspoon of ground nutmeg.

The first thing you will need to do is to melt the margarine in the microwave and stir in all of the pecans. Next you will have to combine the sugar with the cinnamon as well as the nutmeg and pour this mixture all over the pecan halves. Put the pecans on a paper plate and distribute them throughout evenly so they all get toasted equally. This can make for a very delicious ice cream topping or whatever else you want to do with them.
