Oregano can be frozen but it is important to know how to properly do it.
First you will need to thoroughly wash and dry all of the oregano sprigs, carefully stripping the leaves from the stems and putting them into a plastic bag. Make sure not to crush them as you are doing this, as it can be easy to do. You will also need to make certain that all air is removed from the bag before it is put in the freezer. When you are putting the bag of oregano in the freezer, you will need to make a point of choosing a spot where they will not get crushed. Remember, there is absolutely no need to thaw them before using them.
