Can Asparagus Be Fried?

Asparagus-lovers who have not already eaten this vegetable fried will definitely want to do so as soon as possible, but it is important for you to find out which steps to follow when going about doing it. One of the first things you will have to do when you are getting ready to fry your asparagus is running it under some cold water so you can remove any traces of dust or grit that are still on it. You will also need to cut off the tough woody ends of the spear which can be done by simply using your fingers. The ends will break off naturally so you should not have much of a problem doing this at all.

The second step which you will need to follow when going about frying your asparagus is adding a tablespoon of olive oil to the skillet which you will be using to fry it, turning the heat up to medium-high. The next step involves putting all of the asparagus spears into the pan in one single row for around five minutes.

Make sure that you keep turning the spears every half minute or so as you do not want them to get cooked unevenly. The last step in this process is to remove the asparagus spears from the skillet once they have started to turn a sort of golden color. After you do this it might be a good idea to add some salt and pepper for extra flavoring.
