Nuts in general tend to have a significant amount of potassium, making them a healthy snack and great alternative to greasy potato chips and salty pretzels. Although this is true, walnuts have less protein and much more fat. They have healthy types of fats though which are good for the body and help to keep it functioning correctly in a number of ways.
Some of the different types of nuts that are high in potassium include chestnuts, hazel nuts, and Brazil nuts. All of these are prime examples of nuts that are fairly high in potassium as well as other important things that the body needs such as vitamin A, iron, magnesium, and phosphorus.
