Are Tomatoes High In Sugar?

Tomatoes are fairly high in sugar, containing around 5 grams for every sliced cup. There are fruits such as grapes which contain around 15 grams per cup, which is significantly more. Although when compared to most other vegetables tomatoes are slightly higher in their sugar content, they are okay for those who are on most diets to eat.

Because of the overall nutritional value of tomatoes, you should have no problem eating them at least every once in a while so you will be able to get what you need in terms of vitamins, minerals, and other important things your body needs.
