Both raspberries and blackberries are sometimes referred to as brambles or cane berries, and are actually not single fruits but rather aggregate fruits comprised of upwards of 100 smaller drupelets.

Another interesting fact is that neither blackberries nor raspberries are technically berries! As mentioned above, they are both actually aggregate fruits.
