In the scientific sense, a fruit is simply the part of a plant which contains the seeds. However, in the culinary sense fruits are sweet, and we refer to some botanical fruits are culinary vegetables (such as tomatoes).
But what about peaches? Are peaches fruits of vegetables?
On either sense of the word, peaches are fruits.
Not only do they contain seeds (within the pit), but they also have a sweet flavor. This makes peaches both botanical fruits and culinary fruits!
