Are Blueberries a Choking Hazard For Children?

Typically blueberries are not considered a choking hazard, though parents should probably cut them in half for their children in order to avoid any of these problems.

If the blueberries are already small, there is really no need to cut them in half. A vast majority of smaller children are able to eat blueberries without choking or obstructed airways.

Parents should not give blueberries or any other fruits like this to children who are under the age of three; because for these kids blueberries most likely will pose a problem with regards to choking on them because of the size of their airway in relation to the fruit.
