There are a lot of differences between blackberries and raspberries, even though they may seem like they are the same exact fruit.
The slight difference in the name is not all that distinguishes these two fruits from one another. Although both fruits are in fact from the same genus which is known as “Rubusâ€, there are still quite a few differences between them, such as the stem.
Blackberries become hollow once they are taken from the plant while raspberries retain their stem. Another one of the differences that not many people know is that blackberries on average can be harvested earlier than blackberries, as they are more sensitive to the cold than raspberries are.
